Candyman was shot in an airport hangar in Southern California and is based on the 1940s World War II theme. The video features three Aguileras, one is blonde, another is a brunette and the third is red-head, dancing and singing in front of a group of GI personnel. Other scenes features her as the famous biceps-flexing factory worker from Westinghouse's "We Can Do It!" poster as well as scenes inspired by Judy Garland, Betty Grable, and Rita Hayworth. Benji Schwimmer, 2006 winner of the US dancing competition So You Think You Can Dance, makes a cameo appearance as Aguilera's GI dance partner. The video earned Aguilera a MTV Video Music Award nomination for Best Direction at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. |
