Michael Eugene Archer, better known by his stage name D'Angelo, was an American R&B and neo soul singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer.
His debut solo album, Brown Sugar, was released in July 1995 and sold over two million copies. He released Voodoo in January 2000 which debuted at number one. The lead single "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" won a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal.
D'Angelo released his third studio album, Black Messiah in December 2014.
