Gospel Alphabet

Gospel Alphabet is a song about the Alphabet which features Little Chrissy, Patti LaBelle and the Sesame Street gang.

Music Video[]

On a light blue background with spotlights, we see Chrissy and Patti at the piano and he remarks "Here we go Patti" on the start of the music, then she commands him to gets every note right where he will ensure to do so. We gradually orbit to the right side of the piano. During that, we hear Patti making noises for a moment, then starts singing the alphabet with the other puppets joining him and her to sing the alphabet. On the second time singing the alphabet, they sing it along with Patti. After that, the music speeds up starting at a closeup view of Chrissy playing the piano faster than the previous time singing the alphabet. At the end, she becomes proud of the puppets knowing the letters of the alphabet, then Patti rolls up her eyes, and pointing her fingers down.

Music/Sounds Variant[]

Compared to the original and the altered variant, Little Chrissy's lines were intact and can be heard at the beginning of the original version of the video; on another variant, the voice effects to them were muted. However, the video's soundtrack was slightly re-arranged on the Sesamestreet.org website.

Variants[]

The first episodes with this has a zoomed in shot of the ending.
On What's the Name of That Song?, the alphabet letter graphics were added onto the first few scenes of the music video. This variant, two months after the video release, has also been used on a 2004 episode.
40 Years of Sunny Days, video had it's brightness darkened.
There is a 16:9 letterboxed variation with the series logo added on the bottom border, with a background half blue striped, and solid found on the official Twitter account.
