It's Gonna Be Me features the group as animated plastic dolls in a large toy store as they to get the attention of a girl shopping (Kim Smith, who also appeared in "Bye Bye Bye"). Interspersed are scenes of the group in a color-lit room singing and dancing with the lights changing colors. At the end of the video, she buys them, and upon scanning, each doll becomes the real-life version of each group member and they leave with her unaware of there fate in there music video bye bye bye. |
The music video starts out as we see we go through the store until we see the band as a dolls and then as the girl passes by the Justin Timberlake doll he looks around and shouts "It's Gonna Be Me" then he punches through the plastic sleeve film in his box, the JC Chasez doll looks and sees he's in box and the Chris Kirkpatrick and the Lance Bass doll do the same thing. And so does the Joey Fatone doll then they punch and rip through the plastic sleeve film on their boxes and then all 5 of them escape the box. As the girl pass them they try to signal her that over here that they want her and that she's the one they want. But it doesn't work, then the dolls talk until a group of Fight Force Solider figures come from the top of the shelf then they approach the NSYNC boxes and knock them down. Then 2 of them throw Justin's box off the shelf and the other soldiers kick Lance's off the shelf. Then the band fights them. And then the girl walks by and sees the band and soldiers are toys again then she walks off. Then the soldiers get bought and they even salute to band and they give a mocking salute back to them. Then the girl dolls whistle at the band to come join them. Then they all agree to go there then they climb off the shelf and go over to them and then once they come to the girls. They turn to us and nod and then go over to play with them. Once they get their picture with them. The other girl dolls throw a huge net at them. Then they try to get free from the net. One of the girl dolls that is now getting bought laughs at them. Then the band get free from the net and then head to a table but then the Joey Fatone doll rests his arm on a domino and it gets knocked over and the camera zooms out and it turns out the dominos were formed as the band's logo. Then once the band dolls sees the dominos get knocked over they run off and back on the shelf and as they climb back to the shelf they were on they grapple with the same grapple that the soldiers used then as the dolls are back to where they were they perform the dance number and then the girl is coming back and the band keeps dancing and then when the girl approaches them she looks at them and smiles and then decides to buy them and she takes them and goes over and checks out and then she hands then to the cashier and then the cashier scans the Joey Fatone doll and then he becomes life sized and a real person and then he climbs off the counter and scanner then the cashier scans the. Chris Kirkpatrick doll and he becomes life sized and a real person and Joey Fatone helps him off the counter to safety. Then the cashier scans the JC Chasez doll and he becomes life sized and a real person and Joey Fatone helps him off too. Then the cashier scans the Lance Bass doll and he becomes life sized and a real person and Joey Fatone helps him off and finally the cashier scans the Justin Timberlake doll and he becomes life sized and a real person and Joey Fatone helps him off. Then the video ends with them all walking with the girl.
