K'naan is a Somali-Canadian poet, rapper, singer, song-writer and instrumentalist. He rose to prominence with the success of his single "Wavin' Flag", which was chosen as Coca-Cola's promotional anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Studio albums he has released are My Life Is a Movie in 2004, The Dusty Foot Philosopher in 2005, Troubadour in 2009, and Country, God or the Girl in 2012. Also, he has released an EP, More Beautiful Than Silence, and four mixtapes.
