Heffron Drive - Mad At The World (Official Music Video)

Mad at the World sees lead guitarist Dustin Belt unpleased with his current state, with very little money left to spare. After giving a ride to a stranger, he ends up at the gas station only to find out he does not have enough money which makes him enraged. Lead singer Kendall Schmidt, wearing a flashy outfit, knocks on his window and then enters his truck, asking him for a ride. Belt declines at first, but after Schmidt offers some money, he accepts and they go on a road trip. Throughout the video, excited Kendall Schmidt attempts to cheer up Dustin Belt who is usually angry. Schmidt gives some motivational speeches along the way as they stop at a field with cows to dance and frolic in. They then rent a motel room and Schmidt gives more money, later going to a bar where they start drinking. The next day, Schmidt reveals to Belt at the motel that he was buying others drinks, which causes him to become more upset and walks away. Later, at the gas station, Schmidt shows Belt everything he bought, including a colorful blue and pink stuffed monkey. Belt gets even more frustrated, asking why he would buy all that when he is at rock bottom. He drives away, but stops when he sees Schmidt again, sitting on the road. They are then seen sitting on top of a canyon, taking in the view, when suddenly Schmidt disappears, revealing that everything that happened with Schmidt was either a dream or hallucination. Dustin Belt gets up and snaps out of it, doing everything that he did in the dream by himself, seemingly taking in what Schmidt had said and done and enjoying the pleasures of life. In the epilogue, Belt is ecstatic when he wins big on a scratch ticket.
