Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) features Annie Lennox's striking androgynous visual image, with close-cropped, orange-colored hair, men's suit and cane. At the 1984 MTV Video Music Awards, it won its only nomination, for Best New Artist in a Video. It was parodied in The Treble's "No Secrets (There For You)" video. A second video exists, with the duo sitting in train car with the window showing Lennox's lips singing the song, footage of a city skyline and a snowy mountain. |
