The Lonely Island is an American comedy troupe composed of Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone, and Andy Samberg, best known for their comedic music. The band has released two studio albums, thirteen singles and twenty-seven music videos.
The group, founded in 2001 by core members Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg, released its debut studio album, Incredibad, in February 2009. Their second studio album, Turtleneck & Chain, was released in May 2011.
Their latest album, The Wack Album, was released in June 2013.
